A Halloween puzzle hunt for older kids and teens
Hide a trail of clues and let your players solve puzzles, riddles and codes as they hunt for Halloween treats. Give them the first clue; each answer leads to the next hiding place until they reach the final treasure. The ready-made clues use hiding places found in many homes, but you can change the clues and answers online through Corjl to suit your own route.
At a glance: 13 puzzle, riddle and code-breaker clues; suggested ages 9 and up; around 45–60 minutes of play, depending on your hiding places. The original listing suggests two teams of 1–5 players each. Designed for an area outside a home or a neighbourhood, but editable for another location.

After purchase, you receive a printable PDF with the standard clues and a separate email from Corjl to edit the templates online. You do not edit the PDF itself. This is a digital product; nothing physical is shipped.

Set up your hunt
- Print the standard clues, or use your Corjl link to customise the text online, then download and print.
- Hide each clue at the spot indicated by the previous one and place a treat or treasure at the end.
- Hand over clue one and let the teams work through the trail.
This Halloween Hunt was perfect! I wanted a scavenger hunt but with puzzles and not just riddles. The ability to customize my own was so great! I did a second one and it was really easy! Took some time but not complicated at all. I would get one of these again and recommend it! Great buy! I also asked the seller a question and got a prompt and helpful response.

I'm very impressed with the design, riddles and puzzles, and the images. My favorite and huge selling point was being able to view samples in advance with the link; everything was easy to understand and I look forward to using this with my 10-year old and her friends.
These Treasure Hunts are always the best! My grandkids love them. I'm having no trouble editing the clues now that I have the hang of it and it's nice to be able to adapt them to our circumstances. Wonderful!

I was really pleased with these treasure hunt clues. They were difficult enough to make it interesting but not too difficult to be discouraging. It took my 10 year old about 40 minutes to complete and I was grateful because I'd run out of my own clue ideas by now!
Received the download immediately. Editing was difficult on my phone but went smoothly on my laptop. The only small issue I had was actually printing them - took an age because the files are so big.

I looked at a bunch of digital downloads for a Halloween treasure hunt for my preteen grandchildren. I knew I'd struck gold when I found this one - definitely the best I've seen in this genre. The clues are clever and customizable. I know my grandchildren will get a kick out of the puzzles. The clues aren't hard - just challenging enough to make them more fun than the usual treasure hunt downloads. The clues are generic enough that no changes are necessary, and I used some of them “as is”. I had fun customizing some of the other clues. The instructions at the top of each clue telling you how to make changes are clear. Be sure to read them. I ran into a bit of trouble (entirely my fault) and contacted the seller. She couldn't have been nicer, answering me immediately, and helping me out of my self-made problem.

How long to I have to edit the templates on Corjl.com?
To prevent the designs from being exploited for commercial use, there is a 30-day expiry on the templates on Corjl.com. Please reach out if you need more time.
How many different sets of clues or maps can I create and download in Corjl.com?
For maps, you can create and download as many different maps as you wish within the 30 day window. For clues, you can customize and download 4 times. Again, reach out if you need more downloads. It's just put in place to prevent the bad guys!
Do you offer a print and ship service?
I am currently not offering this service. If you purchase you will receive the printable kits as PDFs via automatic email. You can then print at home or bring the file to a professional print service.
Can you customize the kits for me?
If you have an idea for a theme, then let me know and depending on my workload, I might take on the project.
